Thanksgiving Turkey Drive Recap: Raising Over $100,000 With the Skinny Team

Thanksgiving is about family, gratitude, and showing up for people. This year, we did exactly that—together.

Skinny Joey Merlino, Joe Lil Snuff" Perri and The Skinny team officially raised over $100,000 for their 2025 Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, and the support was real from start to finish. We’re talking long lines, nonstop movement, and a community that came out in a big way to help other families have a Thanksgiving meal on the table.

This post is a simple recap of the day, the energy, and the impact. We’re also including photos from the drive—

The Day Started at 1PM in Boothwyn, PA (Our Newest Location)

We kicked off the Turkey Drive at 1:00 PM at Skinny Joey Cheesesteaks’ newest location, which is set to open in Early 2026:

1509 Meetinghouse Rd, Boothwyn, PA

Right away, the community showed love. People lined up and the line kept growing—honestly, it felt like it wrapped around the block. Volunteers and team members were moving fast, keeping it organized, getting turkeys ready, and making sure people were taken care of.

This location has a lot of meaning for us. It’s not even open yet—and the support still showed up. That says everything.

Coming Soon…

Then at 3PM We Brought It Back to South Broad Street (Philly)

After Boothwyn, the Skinny team moved fast and headed back to our home base:

3020 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA

At 3:00 PM, we started giving out turkeys to people driving by on the street. This part of the day had its own energy—cars rolling through, quick handoffs, and a steady flow the whole time.

It was simple: get people what they need, keep it moving, and make sure families could head into the holiday with one less thing to worry about.

Raising Over $100,000 — Thank You

We want to be direct about this:

We raised over $100,000.

That happens because people donated, shared posts, told friends, pulled up, and supported the mission. It’s not just a number—it represents families who will have something real on the table.

What We’ll Remember Most

A few things stood out:

  • The line in Boothwyn was proof that community is stronger than ever.

  • The drive-by giveaway on South Broad was pure Philly—direct, fast, and full of heart.

  • Volunteers made everything possible. The day doesn’t run without people stepping up.

  • The Skinny brand isn’t just content or food—it’s community when it matters.

Thank You to Everyone Who Showed Up

To every donor, volunteer, and supporter: thank you.

Whether you gave money, gave time, gave a repost, or brought someone with you—this drive was a success because of you.
